Cleaning cabinetry correctly is critical to keeping your investment looking great. Cabinetry requires specialized care based on the material.

Painted MDF Cabinetry

  • Wipe spills immediately with a soft cloth dampened with warm water. Immediately after, dry using a dry, soft cloth. 

  • To clean regularly, use a damp microfibre towel and follow this by drying it with a dry microfibre towel.

  • To remove oils and food, use warm water and a few drops of dish soap and then dry immediately by with a soft cloth.

Stained Wood Cabinetry

  • To remove oils and food, use warm water and a few drops of dish soap and then dry immediately by with a soft cloth. 

  • Always wipe with the grain of the wood.

Melamine Cabinetry

  • If textured melamine, wipe with the grain.

Products to Avoid

  • Harsh Cleaners - bleach, citrus products, ammonia, mineral oil, harsh detergents

  • Waxes and Polishes - Pledge, Liquid Gold, Old English and other products cause build-up and yellowing​​

  • Abrasives - cleaners, scouring pads, abrasive liquids such as Ajax, Scotch-Brite, Magic Erasers 

  • Sponges and Dishcloths - can contain food, oil, and other cleaning solutions
